Chicken rice, not always consistent

This $3.00 chicken rice dish had less meat than the $2.50 version.

I have always been a bit wary about how the hawker center food is priced. I suppose “years of experience” give way to arbitrary amounts that are simply eyeballed and estimated.

Today I got the $3.00 worth of chicken for my chicken rice dish but, while the heap of meat looked approximately the same as the $3 dish I always get, the majority was bones and fat.

I must say that was quite disappointing. Especially since I was looking forward to eating more than just the rice. The quality was just as good as it normally is though.

Will try the wonton mee next time.
