Dancing on Jonker street in Melaka.
One of the best things I like about Jonker street in Melaka is the karaoke stage on the north-western end of the street.
Young and old, local and tourists, all sing their hearts out every weekend during the night market festivities on the street.
There is an older gentleman who is often there, just dancing the night away. I never did try to talk to him, but I get the impression that it’s therapeutic for him to sway to the random crowd’s serenade every weekend.
He has been there almost every time I head to the stage in the past three years.
This night however, a young caucasian couple decided to take centre stage as a local worked his vocal chords.
