Angry Bird and Doreman form the basis of dinner
Angry Birds has caught Asia by storm. Even their food features the Angry Birds theme, pictured here along with Doremon.
These skewers were from a lup-lup stand in Malaysia.
You would choose the skewers, hand them to the owner and he would put them in boiling water and drench them in sauce for you.
Most of the skewers here were fish based though there was also a chicken sausage with a thins slice of cheese inside.
Cost: RM 1.50 each, though I had seen them start at 1.50 and go up from there at other stands.
To be honest, I still prefer my barbecued satay over this boiled skewers but I think they could be a healthier choice.
