Piss Alley Yakitori, Shinjuku - Japan

- Piss alley as seen from a Yakitori stall.

- Sorry we are closed. Thankfully he decided he was closed after making way for our party of four.

- Narrow store makes for a cozy, intimate eating experience.

- Flame broiled to perfection. Each chef has his select dishes, and perfects them.

- Pork with pork fat and onion. One of my favourite yakitori skewers that evening.

- Tongue licking good. I wasn't much for exotic meats, but when it comes to Yakitori, I can tolerate.

- 'You have it, you have it, she doesn't have it,' said Towel Guy when he asked us to guess what we just ate.

- Delicious meats ready to be grilled and ingested.

- Tending to his skewers. His sauce has never been changed since he started.

- In Shinjuku, we found this narrow alley lined with Yakitori stalls, seating 6 to 10 people, serving up delicious barbecued meat. We saw a TV crew making their own individual documentary interview the chef we nicknamed "towel guy" so we decided to eat at his stall. He made room for four of us despite being packed. It was one of the best food experiences we had.

- I shot these to note what the entrances look like. I hope they help you find the place.
